We received great feedback from the children last week after their first Beckenham science and technology sessions. In science, the children are learning about body systems with links to first aid. In technology, the Year 8s are exploring electronics and robotics. It is great to have Kate join our teaching team for these sessions. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/learningathome.beckenham.school.nz\/kauri\">'learning at home' <\/a>site is up and running and the children know how to access this via google classroom.&nbsp;<\/div><div><ul style=\"text-align: left;\"><li>Their literacy work is accessed through their literacy google classroom.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Maths is via MathsWhizz.&nbsp;<\/li><li>There is also a selection of sustainability activities on the learning at home website.&nbsp;<\/li><li>On Kauri google classroom they will find the weekly quiz and a science activity, called 'organ systems'.<\/li><\/ul><div>If your child has any questions about their learning from home, please get in touch with their home-group teacher.&nbsp;<\/div><\/div><div><br \/><\/div><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Guest Speakers<\/h3><div>This week the children will be listening to two highly motivating guest speakers. On Monday and Tuesday we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attitude.org.nz\/intermediates-presentations\">Attitude.inc <\/a>coming in to deliver their 'Who am I?' presentation. On Thursday a speaker from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iamhope.org.nz\/\">'I Am Hope'<\/a> will talk with our team.
