T\u0113n\u0101 koutou e te wh\u0101nau,<\/span><\/p>

We would like to welcome you to our first Wh\u0101nau R\u014dp\u016b hui of 2021. The hui will be held <\/span>from <\/span>5:00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 30th  June, in the K\u014dwhai Hub<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>

The hui will coincide with Matariki, a time of renewal and celebration in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are going to come together to connect, celebrate and learn. <\/span><\/p>

A hangi option will be available on the night. The kai will be<\/span> pre-order only<\/span> and available for collection part way through the evening. There will be a vegetarian option as well.  Ordering information will come out shortly. <\/span><\/p>

Our Wh\u0101nau R\u014dp\u016b hui aims to:<\/span><\/p>

  • welcome both M\u0101ori and non-M\u0101ori parents and wh\u0101nau<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • establish and strengthen wh\u0101nau connections<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • support and encourage Te Ao M\u0101ori at Beckenham Te Kura o P\u016broto<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • promote student awareness and pride in culture, heritage and identity<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • encourage collaboration and sharing of ideas between home and school<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Nau mai haere mai! Come along, get to know other tamariki and wh\u0101nau, enjoy some kai, and get involved in this important aspect of our kura. Come to the staff room first and get a cup of tea to bring over to the K\u014dwhai hub if you would like. <\/span><\/p>
